You can hire a hospital-grade Medela breastpump by picking it up from the Medela Agent.
Choosing the Right Breastpump
Breastpumps are meant to complement breastfeeding, not replace it. Choosing the right breastpump when needed can make a big difference, both in initiating and sustaining breastfeeding.
The pumps are available from ward Maternity 3 (on 0161 419 5285), no cash sales, only credit card or debit card sales, with proof of address. Pumps should also be returned to ward Maternity 3 or the birth centre.

Price scheme (incl. VAT)
INITIAL PAYMENT
£25.00 non refundable administration fee at initial hire and £25.00 for double pump set.
AFTER 14 DAYS THE HIRE OF THE PUMP STARTS AT;
£40.00 every 30 days
(which will continue until the pump is returned to the Medela agent on Ward M3.)
These electric breastpumps are ideal for long term and regular use in hospitals or as rented pumps for home use.
Lactina Electric Breastpump (hospital grade pump)
This fully automatic breastpump allows double pumping with all its advantages. Ideal for expressing breastmilk occassionally when at home or on the go. £40.00 every 30 days (Direct Debit), the payment stops on return of the breastpump to the ward.
Symphony Breast Pump
This breast pump for hospitals and home rental gives the mother the most natural of feelings along with unique technical refinement. Ideal for long term and frequent pumping needs. The 2-phase expression is the only research based breast pump technology to mimic a baby's natural nursing rhythm. First rapid stimulation, then slower expression. £40.00 every 30 days, the payment stops on return of the breastpump to the ward.
